Hi, I am from Montreal, Canada and I am planning to go to Australia, Arapiles or other sites from Rock Climbing the first 3 weeks of August. I can lead, have all my gear and am looking for a climbing partner for my trip. Cheers, Sebastien

check what the weather's like a week or two before you come over, a cold wet windy Arapiles isn't nice. You may need to go further north for good climbing (NSW or QLD).

hey mate! I will be around OZ from now on till end of August. The original plan was to head to the blue mountains from about 10th august on. Give a shout if that would be an option for you.

Why are there so many overseas people going to Araps/Gramps in the middle of winter???!! Do they not check the climate information before booking their ticket?

Us lot in the northern Hemisphere are under the impression that Australian winters are like our summers. 5-16 degrees and dry.

Are you going to burst our bubble Neil? Is that not the case? x

Go on, it's not really dry in the uk!

At least this strange tendency means that those of us like Simey who don't leave (it is footy season) will have some company around town.

7 days and counting .. bring on the warm weather ...
