Hey All. Anyone up for some Cobaws action this Sunday (provided it's not too wet)?? Dalai?

Could be a possibility... will give you a call on Saturday to confirm.

Cheers Martin

Well if anyone wants to come and tear their tips open on some rad new and old problems on the best granite close to melbourne... send me an e-mail tonight or tomorrow.

Thanks Joe.

I am still surprised that more people haven't descended on the Cobaws to enjoy perfect granite bouldering! With quality existing problems and many potential new problems for those who are willing to put in the effort and explore.

Joe and I spent Sunday enjoying the perfect conditions on new boulders. In the end we did 6 new problems up to V5 (Cobaw V1) and left with a few projects to go back for.

A mate and I are thinking about heading out there on Sunday (29th not 22nd), but I can't track down any instructions on how to get there or what to look for. I know where the region is and I remember reading (I think on Chockstone) a rough description of how to get to the spot, but I'm stuffed if I can find it now. Any help chockstoners?

I have emailed you with details. Enjoy.

Directions by Robin are in topic: any 1 bouldered here?

Thanks very much - found the site and found some rocks. We found Oragami and the boulder described as '100m at 10oclock from Oragami', but both are way out of our league. I think we also found the first set of boulders described, but I can't say anything there exactly rocked my world. Overall, nice place, easy to get to, but not what I'd call exciting - distinct possibility we didn't find what we were there for though.

PS. If anyone finds a cowhide looking chalkbag there, it'll be my mate's. Not expecting to get it back considering the 'booty' thread elsewhere on Chockstone, but if you're feeling nice... :)

Roadside boulders are a good place to start being right by the road. But like I said in my email, there are far better problems are up the ridge line behind and elsewhere in the forest.

I snuck out there again on Saturday. Went for a drive and found another good boulder!!
