post this is 'climbing partners' rather than trip reports... but yes, i should be down there for at least a few weeks over easter (taking pics unless my back is better, in which case i would stay for way more than a few weeks, but ill be with a pretty cool crew of crankers im sure you could hook up with)

Holy sheet, someone from outside the ACT is thinking of climbing here,

praise the lord, and start bagging the sand in readiness.

Well you will probably have the whole of Booromba to yourselves as just about every ACT climber I know is heading to Araps.

try Euryproctus for a warm up,

its the first route you see on the walk down to the south butress and is a really well protected grade 20 and nice and short (<10m).

With you on that one Nick. Epitome of Canberra Granite - leaves you with nothing but a grin.

A personal fave of mine is that 14 slab at the cloisters (simple simon slabs, between the two beginner cracks). I mean how hard can a 14 be right?

For those going to Arapiles, don't forget the "Goatfest" film night at the Soldiers Memorial Hall, Main Street Natimuk. See the Goatfest 06 thread for more details.

There's gonna be queues at the bottom of every route. We've got a group going down to Booroomba as well.
