I'll ask my mate as hes led sweet dreams a few weeks back .
As for me , Ive only been doing sport routes of late at the gym so not sure how I will do with the exposure .
If youve done it before then I feel at ease ....
low easy grade sounds great to me ! as I have to ease back into outdoor climbing again and the exposure .
Ive climbed at upper shipley before years back and that was sport route , but this was when I was in my prime time ! now I feel like a newbie ,but am keen .
As long as its super safe Im fine .
Im climbing at the gym tonight and bouldering and rest up tommorow and will email my mate now as he can lead the climbs and see how he feels about it .
How high is bellbird wall ?
Is it a technical route?
I also check it my guidebook .
Just so you know in advance I have limited experience in trad climbing but keen to learn ! mainly sport climbing of late .
Also my coach will take me out to refine outdoor lead skills too next week .
Tom Thumb sounds nice ! the views are the reward !
Or I can belay and do one or two pitches see how it is for me ????
Gotta check the weather and see how it will turn out on the Sunday ?
My mate Mark Baker Aust famous climber may be around on the Sunday , he may even come along ! if so that would be amazing !
Its 100m ! Bellbird wall !!! wow pretty high for me , Ive only been doing up to 20m climbs of late training ! mmmm not sure if I can lead it all the way as yet until I build up my confidence again but I can only try !
I dont think my friend has done this climb before , so maybe Tom Thumb a better choice or another crag ?
I hope you got my two texts yesterday regarding climbing today ??
We 're gonna hit climbing gym to train as the weather looks unclear and grey but will definitely come for a weekend climb for sure is our plan and I just have to work up the confidence to climb multi pitch climbs again after a huge break , at the moment Im focused on leading and technique and endurance training .
But my climbing partner wants to get into trad climbing soon .....and I tag along and learn too !
