I'm from Hamilton, Vic and am looking for any climbers in the area. I have a harness, good rope (60m), a couple of carabiners, a figure-of-8-descender and an ATC guide. Limited experience, have made it up a grade 16 or possibly 18. If there is any one interested in helping out I would love to try the climbs at Nigretta falls.

I haven't ever climbed at Nigretta but with the Grampians so close, I'm not sure you'll find many up for this:
I imagine there's a bit more water over the falls than there was in late January.

I don't know about that. I've got a feeling Martin Lama established routes on some non-descript pox in the hills just beyond the Gramps too. For a guy who was capable of climbing on Taipan Wall it seemed a strange choice of cliff to visit. There is no accounting for taste.

I got lured there by a WVCC member who raved about these great virgin cliffs he had found...
Arrived in the dark. Unfortunately this wasn't Mitre rock and with Arapiles across the road. But had driven all that way so climbed what was there.

I think I would have back-tracked to the Gramps.

I got pissed off and left Hamilton a year ago because there weren't any climbers out there... bugger.
