In June 2013, Ryan Castel and I headed into the Ruth Gorge and Little Switzerland in the Alaskan Range for some alpine rock climbing and ski touring.

Great trip with perfect weather, no heavy load carrying, and some excellent routes.

Climbs included the following

Random Dihedral on the stump right of Goldfinger

South Face Middle troll 5.9
Free Radical 5.10+, South Troll - Best route we did in LIttle Switzerland
4 pitch route on west face of Crown - perfect cracks ~5.9
Up to pitch 5 of GArgoyle buttress on Royal Tower 5.10c
Lost Marsupial route 5.10 on the Throne

Squamish, Canada
Angel Crest 5.10c
Penny Lane 5.9 smoke bluffs
Star check 5.9 scenic route near river
Life on Earth, Mt Habrich 5.10c

What a terrific trip and fantastic images - thanks for sharing.
It looks like you used bikes to get up towards Mt Habrich. How close could you get by car/bike? Life on Earth is something I've been interested for a while ...

For life on earth on mt habrich we drove up logging trail for about an hour to where they are building a new cable car station. then about an hour on bikes then 1 hour steep uphill to base of route.

life on earth is sustained and somewhat runout. just had to keep going above gear and the odd bolt. amazing route 6 pitches then easy scramble to summit. the ride down was fun too.
we did the route as 2 groups of 2 on single 60m ropes then simulrapped the 6 rappels. pretty quick to get down.

Go do it doug its awesome
