First there was planking, then a SUBW member innovatively evolved this into 'coloumning' and now there is ledging.

Intrigued? Read on to learn about this pursuit which 'sits in the obscure niche of being too exposed and technically difficult for bushwalkers and requiring way too long a walk for climbers'

Fantastic idea for a bushwalk. Some of those pics had me puckered up just thinking about it.

hah - you guys are mad. Climbers only do that sort of thing under duress or when something has gone badly wrong.

Great views though!

Enjoyed your report. You captured the essence of something that has become lost in many accounts written by rock-climbers.

Nice report Bjorn. As the non-climber of the group, I can totally second hangdog's comment about being puckered up just thinking about it. Even now the photos bring back the adrenaline rush from the day. Unreal stuff!
And technogeekery, definitely mad. I was thinking that as we did it. The exposure is one thing, the loose shale and shit rock just pushed it along...

Awesome TR! What's next on your ledging list? Mt Hay might be fun!

brilliant!
the non-climbing bit of climbing is always the scariest
it's interesting how big that ledge appears from the distance, and how bloody narrow it is a points
the smooth wall above the final escape ramp has 2 100m long face climbs up it (weakened worriers and Friends don't let friends place Friends)
