I know about hospital rocks but have heard about a few newer Nowra crags that are good for these crags (where all the climber kids have been first assenting stuff). I'm wondering which crags are good to take a beginner climber for some easy toproping. I guess new Nowra is included but would probably prefer real nowra

Sandbags galore there! I remember doing a grade 11 that required a kneebar to get through a blank section.

Hocus Pocus or The Great Unwashed at Piddo
....or lots's of stuff at Narrowneck.
only rodw goes to the trouble of bolting grade 11 -15 sport climbs.
So you have a choice between Wingello or some out of the way place out on the Newnes Plateau.
Sorry Mate.
Just taking the piss. (except every word before "only" )

I reckon sunrise is worth a day. No one there, so not as intimidating for a newb. Some nice climbing at gr12! A couple of adventurous feeling low grade jobs too if your new girlfriend looks up for it (try loose lips Leroy for the lower off!)

I don't really know what's New Nowra vs Real Nowra but maybe take your friend to the walkdown area at Thompson's Point?
Some nice easy routes there like Santa's Little Helper and a couple of other low to mid-teen routes.
Enjoy :)

Apparently near "bens walk", up from hospital rocks there is some easy slabs and stuff... Watch out with kids at hospital rocks, the hospital gives out needle kits to local junkies.. Needless to say, walking around hospital rocks is a bit of a mine field...
In my experience its not so much that the easy grades are 'sandbagged' in a physically difficult way but require lots of advanced techniques. Ie knee bar...
