McFarlanes Hill bouldering (Wodonga West)

11:56:56 AM
Hi guys, I've recently added two easy but classic problems in the "Dairy" at McFarlanes Hill (aka Felltimber). The first is called "Morsel on a dorsal" (V1) and is a tall, leaning sharp arete located directly below the sport route "Bullfighter" (17). Stand start on low good holds and climb the arete all the way, slap for the rounded top, then top out tending left. Watch the landing!
The second problem is called "The Power of Faith" (V2), and is the steep, sharp arete on the right side of the tall sharp boulder jutting out of the ground directly below the afore mentioned problem, "Morsel on a Dorsal". (There is a distinct diagonal juggy line straight up the centre of this boulder which goes at about V0-V1). Stand start on obvious chest height juggy hand ledge, head right and up (good hold on back of boulder at 2/3rds height). Sketchy move to top juggy rail, jug your way left and top out. Both problems are pretty high so bring your crash mats. Both problems are easily identifiable from the main walking track, as each boulder is tall, pointed and "shark tooth" looking, about 30m left and down from the main, massive bovine boulder. Refer to McFarlanes Hill section in Eastern Victoria guidebook for general access directions.
There's still a number of excellent open projects to be done here,(some of the easier projects in the Eastern guide have now been sent), as the hardest current problem is only V6. Happy days!!

Good job bud. I'll be back up for a day or so in 2 weeks, would be keen for a blast out there again!

Time for a double digit boulder!

10:21:23 PM
Yeah mate, there's potential for some double digit problems there for sure!

Gotta get climbing that hard first :)

Yeah we need Sharma (or whomever is the latest rock hero) to come send some of those lines hey!

I transferred all the problems into the ACA website and added some access maps. It's located here. I also added a few new problems which aren't in the guide, feel free to add any new ones. One day I'll add some photos.

Sharma dosnt boulder these day because it hurts too much, what a big baby. We need Nalle Hukkataival or Adam Ondra.

Yeah right, have I been outta the scene for that long? ...maybe that's a good thing :-)
