Hi guys, I spotted these boots for sale in Christchurch, where I live.

I have them in a larger size and can recommend them as being excellent for winter mixed climbing here, as well as summer mountaineering and alpine climbing. They are about the lightest rigid boot available and are fully waterproof. They are known informally as the 'Silver Bullets' in the USA because they really hit the spot.

I have no connection with the seller, just simply saw a good deal and want to pass it on. If anyone's coming over to NZ to do a TMC course or whatever then I would grab these boots over the Nepal Evo model because they're lighter and more versatile, also damn cheap.

The only issue with the boots is that they do not stand up to moraine well.

If required I can do a pick up (can do this for any climbing gear bought online) in Christchurch and hold here until you pass through, and can probably offer you a lounge floor to crash on as well.
