You guys got any tips on how to rough up the surface of the beastmakers?

Mine seems to polish very quickly and sandpaper doesn't help much...I need some more friction!!!

Nah never really stuck those suckers for more than a second!

I think using chalk seems to help w/ friction. Im not being sarcastic with that comment, mine is above carpet in a rental property so I didnt chalk up much but it helps. There is a sticky one at bowlo, maybe just lots of caked up skin?

Was told to avoid too much chalk on the wooden hangboard but will try more, been sparsely using.

The difference between when I got it out of the box and after about only 10 sessions is like chalk and cheese....

also depends on the humidity where you're using it.... unlike plastic & actual rock these wooden boards actually tend to be stickier when there is a bit of moisture about

Wrap it in a damp towel. It will absorb the moisture and open the grain of the timber. Don't use sandpaper unless very course ie 40 or 60 grit.
