My gf is heading to Seoul at the end of February to work for a few weeks. Anyone have any experience/recommendations on the best indoor climbing gyms there?

Also - how cheap (expensive) is rock climbing gear there? I'm guessing its probably not worth getting her to buy me anything.

some stuff is cheaper. i got some mad rock shoes and a good mad rock rope for a song. the kovea campstoves are great too. mine was $20 6 years ago and still works great.

indoor climbing may be better now than back then (couldn't get any worse), but she should just go trekking to stay fit. they have ice climbing, but long way to haul her gear for just a few weeks.

there a website called 'Korea on the Rocks' (KOTR); good info there.

Cheers,

Yep checked that website yesterday, its quite good although and i'd guess the gyms may stock some stuff.

Given she complains about a 15 minute walk into the crag I suspect she will skip the trekking :-)

M9 - you cost me $50. My GF bet me that hardly anyone would reply to the post...expect you :-)
