Was talking to a friend at work yesterday about this years Banff film festival (saw it in Melb) and about our mutual disappointment that the subset that was screened here did not include a rather spectacular incident that was featured on the preview on Paddy Pallin's website prior to the event.
The 1 or 2 second flash of footage has an ice climber on lead up this massive column of ice (looks like a waterfall with space between wall and ice) and he strikes it with his axe and the whole thing shears off and begins to fall.
The footage was quite striking and took our breath away each time we watched the preview.
Can anyone suggest where / what / who this was, and if it's part of a longer film?
Cheers! |
