Argus 07: Beat your chest beyond Chockstone

Argus, longtime newsletter of the VCC is undergoing a revamp. It's not slick, it's not national and doesn't
want to be. Argus is about small stories in your local climbing area. We want to hear about the new route
you set on the boulder down the road from your house, and who broke their arm falling off the woody in
your backyard during a drunken session.

Sent out to VCC members monthly, Argus keeps members up-to-date with local climbing news and what's
going on in the climbing community socially, too. Contributing is a great way to get your voice heard, put
something down for the record (be it a new route or heresay) and to let other climbers know what you've
been up to.

The VCC is looking for regular contributors for the following topics:
• obscure crags
• gear lust
• burnely bouldering
• trad ethics
• training for climbing
• injury prevention

If writing about any of these appeals to you, then post below or email argus@vicclimb.org.au.

One time contributors are also encouraged to submit. Stories of hero climbs, dramatic injuries and epics
(yours or others) are all welcome. Gossip, slander and incriminating photos will also be warmly recieved,
with only the lowest regard for quality. Send your photos, comments and stories to
argus@vicclimb.org.au.

Any questions or comments, post them here.

Cheers

Katherine

Hi Katherine,

well done on the new Argus - looks fantastic, and great content too. Really like the layout. Welcome to the VCC team.

Have you ever done any guidebook work? Would you like to???

I look forward to the next issue!

Ciao,

Joe

Guys I just sent out the electronic version - I got home late last night and thought if I tried to send it out then while I was so tired, I'd screw up and send it to all the wrong people. Sorry its a little late.

Anyway I have just hit Send...and now the pimply teenager at my ISP who handles the mail server will have to tear himself away from whatever seedy internet anatomy lesson he was taking and deliver Argus to y'all.

Cheers.
