I'm heading up that way for the long weekend.
Is there any ice left?

We've been basking in 25'C temps in Melbourne recently. I doubt there would be anything left. All snow
disapeared off our resorts quite a few weeks ago!

A few pics here of the area, from 18-20 Sept:

I very much doubt there is any climbable ice left by now...might be worth taking comfortable bushwalking boots for the walks in-out.

Ice was good late July. Disappears late August from my experience. The longer days and marginally warmer temps make it a very insecure medium. There was so little snow this year I suspect most of it has vanished as well.
I'm hoping NZ is going to be better.

We were there 2 weeks ago and there was only a single climbable line and it would definitely be gone by now...everything was melting fast.
