I was just wondering if there is much good bouldering up at Mt Buffalo?

I can't seem to find much info about it online which was surprising given how much rock there is up there.

Been forced out of the Grampians already eh bro?

There’s heaps of routes there if you boulder like Alex Honnold does!

Large grained granite blocks doesn't make for pleasant bouldering...

Thanks for that.

I might check out behind the chalet and see how it is. The rest of the state is too hot this weekend!

The traverse on the Leviathan is worthwhile.

It’s the future of bouldering dalai(!) ... when the impossible problems of yesteryear become the next great things of tomorrowyear.
Heh, heh, heh.

I reckon there's heaps of bouldering to be done. It's not all coarse slabs either! Go for a wander with a pad and a wire brush and you might be surprised what's out there.

I'll put some stuff on The Crag at some point, once I've ticked off the best problems anyway.

No. There is not really any bouldering to be found up there... it's a fragile alpine environment that does not need the bouldering hoarders trashing and causing access issues ...
Please stay away... nothing to see up there ...

Yep, stick to the Grampians. Buffalo is not good environment for bouldering.

Keep in mind that a large portion of the bouldering in the Grampians has access issues at the moment.

It is. As is all the Granite belt locations especially Mt Alex. Question was raised during the hot spell when you wouldn't want to boulder there...
