Do you go camping in Victoria’s parks? We’d like to hear from you to help inform our future planning around camping.
Parks Victoria has engaged The Big Picture Strategic Services to conduct a survey of campers. All responses will be reported in such a way that you cannot be identified – your answers will be anonymous.
The survey will take about 15 minutes and 10 lucky respondents will receive a prize of either a SparkStone mobile device charger (RRP $74.95) or an Explore Australia's National Parks book (valued at RRP $27.25).
Go to http://www.surveymonkey.com/r/parkscampingsurvey before 27 April to have your say.

Hmm.
I might simply be a skeptical old-fart, but previous 'experience of consultation' by Park Authorities in both Vic and NSW that I have had, tends to reinforce my skepticism.
I just completed their survey, and buried about half way through it I found the following question:
>What do you like about camping at a privately operated caravan and camping park?
My crap detectors are now tingling and methinks that this might be the key to any ulterior motive of the survey here, ie further commercialisation of their campgrounds and the ever increasing fees imposed for using them?
I did find opportunity within the answers that I supplied to hopefully re-inject some common sense into the way they have run things and pointed out that removing the 'pay by envelope in a box system' was a retrograde step on their behalf.

I wrote that I like that I actually get some facilities for my money and don't feel so much like I am being ripped off - like paying 30 bucks for some dirt and a stinky pit toilet!
