Congratulations to all the keen climbers who have attended the Barrenjoey Cliffcare days over the last few years! Your efforts have won the 2015 Regional Landcare Awards - category Coastcare.
This award is made to a community group/network for excellence in activities that have contributed to the significant improvement of local coastal and/or marine environments, including estuaries, coastal and marine wetlands and salt marsh ecosystems.
Benni the Bolt Gun accepted the award on behalf of climbers at the Regional Landcare Bushcare Forum 2015 at the Royal Botanical Gardens today.
The prize was a $500 gift card which can be redeemed at Wollies, Dan Murphy's or Master's Hardware Stores (hmmm, do Masters do stainless?) Suffice to say the next climber's bushcare day might be well catered for, woohoo!
The next Barrenjoey bushcare & climb day is 20th June so stick that in your diaries. Also look out for the flyer at the gyms too. There is also the possibility of doing something similar down at Diamond Bay - let me know if you are interested.

Congratulations Stu and all those involved. Not just for gaining the Award but also for putting in the effort for so long.
A great job, well done!

Yes for sure. And the uni kids won't be able to complain about it being too far away, we can probably rope a bunch in. Actually I think UTS or SURMC have done Diamond Bay cleanups in the past?
