Hey everyone,
Neil Monteith and I have been working on a new Grampians guidebook. Our Grampians Climbing: Sport Crags, 2013 Edition, guidebook was the first dedicated Gramps guidebook in about 10 years but even so it proved more popular than we expected. The plan was always to expand the book when we had time, this has just come about sooner than expected. So the new book is simply called Grampians Climbing, 2015 Edition, it's not only an update of the earlier book, it is a significant expansion, with about nine extra crags covered, mostly more traddy areas.
This note is a call out for photos. I just have two slots for photos that I'd like to improve on:
- a vertically framed shot from Summer Day Valley (NOT Wall of Fools).
- a horizontally framed shot from Weirs Creek.
That's it, we have everything else covered, but if you have something from these areas you'd like to contribute, then please email via here. There's a copy of the book in it for you.
I need pics by Monday (23 March) as we are sending this to the printers next week.
Thanks,
Simon

Probably worth contacting Michael O'Reilly of the VCC, as he's running a Summerday Valley trip this weekend and could possibly pass this message on to any photographers in attendance.

Do you know roughly when it is going to be on sale Simon? A friend is talking about a trip down there in July so it would be good to get the new version.

Yeah, I've got a lot of photos of climbers on Back Wall (and Wall of Fools) from the three VCC trips that have been part of the Parks Vic Trial reopening of SDV. I can even name climbers and the routes! I'm sure there is something suitable for you. Images in both JPG and RAW available.
Simon, I emailed you my details via your website if you want links etc. Give me a call or an email.

In theory late May, but from experience let's say June. I expect it will certainly be out before July. Thanks.
