Yep its our birthday today. On 7th November 2003 after closing Summer Hill a week before, our regulars, who had got used to topping out at 7m, had to drag themselves up an extra 9m or so.

Tonight around 6 we'll be having a few "refreshments", everyone's invited. Come over and swap some stories.

If you can't make it, and you have an anecdote or two about climbing at St Peters, or even Summer Hill for you crusties out there, maybe post them here. i'll post a few pics here as well.

Thanks to all the staff and climbers over the years who made this place such a great thing to be part of.

Mike

A scarily large space. It took a while to fill it completely.

You could have turned it into a parking station

The walls looked huge when they first went up.

A young Adam Ondra, winning his category at our biggest comp, the World Youth Championships in August 2008.

There were other future stars there, including Johanna Ernst, who also won her category and then came back the next day after the comp and worked all the finals routes. You could see why she's become one of the best.

Congratulations!
