This same lip tried to eat through SCWA's good static rope, but the good old trusty backpack solved that issue. Orginal SS carrot was very deformed and showed signs of corrosion!!. Stainless Steel 35  21  3 x GIMB + Hilti RE 500  Swiss Climbers  SCWA-GF  13/02/2007  Original 50mm carrots replaced with 100mm M10 GIMB's. The first 2 bolts were only embedded 30mm in the wall and had become bent due wear over the years. New bolts are glued w/ 80mm in the wall. Cost-$20 Steel More Ulster Madness 35  24  2 x 100mm M10 GIMB + Hilti RE 500  Swiss Climbers  SCWA-GF  13/02/2007  Original SS carrots were very deformed and the 2nd snapped flush with the wall under very very little pressure!!!. Showing obvious signs of brittleness due to Corrosion...Scary Cost-$12. New bolts have been recessed properly and camoflaged. Cost $20 MASCHed Boschman 18  25  2 Fixe p-bolts +HY 150  Swiss climbers  SCWA GF,BH, MD  18/07/2006  2 original Petzl longlife bolts came out very easily, one actually snapped off clean at the hanger under bounced bodyweight!! and the leftover shaft had a hairline crack down the middle. Bolts had become rusted and brittle as they were not flush with the wall, with about7-8mm exposed behind the hanger!. Cost $15 The Spin of It 20  24  3 Fixe p-bolts +HY 150  Swiss climbers  SCWA GF, MD, BH  18/07/2006  Replaced were: 2 expansions -with fused nuts 1 7-8mm carrot- protruding 2cm and embedded 13/4cm All were replaced with Fixe p-bolts- FA gave permission for carrot to be replaced with P.
