A good photo, especially given the contrasty light conditions.
With a traverse into the climb, a possible leader fall during it would put a side-loading onto the belayer.
... The belayer in pic 2 seems comfortable not being tightly tethered(?) due to the convenience of the permaledge.
~> It wouldn't want to be a big leader fall to upset that scenario..?

What a pic - it's scared every other budding photographer away for months.
Maybe it should become the new "face of chockstone" and replace all the
other icons on the website.. |
