Gathering in recognition of Freda Du Faur
You are invited to attend a gathering in recognition of Freda Du Faur, an Australian pioneer of early New Zealand mountaineering. Join us to unveil a memorial stone in her honour which will also mark Freda's final resting place in the Manly Cemetery. We gather to demonstrate our appreciation of Freda's outstanding mountaineering achievements on what will be the 96th anniversary of her ascent of New Zealand's highest peak -Aoraki/Mt Cook, the first ever by a woman.
