View user images broken

From the user info page, clicking "view pictures" takes you to a page where all the images and links are broken.

eg. http://www.chockstone.org/Forum/Forum.asp?ForumID=1&Action=View%20Pictures&UserName=hex

They're all in the format:

http://www.chockstone.org/Forum/\Upload\UserFiles\hex\01.jpg

Rather than:

http://www.chockstone.org/Upload/UserFiles/hex/01.jpg

Do you mean 'view pictures' button at base of 'View User Profile' screen?

It works for me*, except for the following ...

... your link(?) did not work.

* ~> What are you trying to achieve? I got a listed screen of pictures posted by the User ID chosen. You will note that if you click on any given photo they come up in the larger format as your last 'link' indicates.

BTW; I find it interesting that you are researching our old mate hex!

Thanks M9, bit more testing shows that it works in IE but doesn't work in Firefox (or the version I'm using at least 3.0.9)...

I just picked hex because I knew he had images about the place, was originally looking at someone else's but change the username so they wouldn't know I was stalking them...

The html generated for each image is something along these lines:

<a href="\Upload\UserFiles\hex\A5&Muncher2.jpg" title="View This Picture"><img src="\Upload\UserFiles\hex\A5&Muncher2.jpg" hspace="5" width="40" height="40" border="1">A5&Muncher2.jpg</a>

Evidently IE interprets the \ characters the same as /

Anyone else find this bug annoying?

The other oddness I've noticed lately in this area is the handling of usernames with . at the end. Seems to do some very strange things.

As ajfclark original post in this thread indicates, the link/s seem broken (again?).

Back in August 2010 I thought they were OK, but for the past couple of months they keep coming up as broken links for me, so I assume it was not just a one off glitch...

Ajf, are you still having trouble with them, or do you have a work-around?

Chrome works.

IE worked last I checked.

The only stickler is firefox as far as I know.

That pic of Mavericks is pretty cool. I need a surf.

Edit; just read M9's linked reply. I don't think that's Waiamea given the colour of the water, lack of boil and need for steamers...;)
