No need to let your imagination run to hypothetical things and become vulgar Mr hero. Much better to stick with what you know - your paranoia, as it better suits your humour. I was thinking that I have not seen a belay with four ringbolts yet. Most only have two bolts and some have three. If I ever find one with four then I would certainly feel bonded to the rock if I was to tie in / clip off to all of them.

Back to the thread topic.
I agree with an earlier post that the whole thing is somewhat academic, because gear is way strong. Use it as manufacturer recommends and it is good for the purpose.

i have a purcell prusik that is girth hitched through leg loop and harness with a locker at the end that goes to one point in anchor, and then clove hitch to the other with the rope.
