Cam stuck at Cape Woolamai

We left a cam in Not Trying to Find North at the Jaws Area of Isla de Muerta on Sunday. It's over-cammed and my partner could not get it out.

It's a green DMM, pretty old and mangled but I still wouldn't mind it back if anyone manages to extricate it. There's a beer in it for you.

Thanks,
Jim

What was the climbing like?

Chossy but beautiful location. Wild and adventurous.

The late Mr Hollaway describes it well. (Though in typical Stu style he down plays the choss!)

Unfortunately I'd expect it to rust up pretty quickly if left in that environment for any significant length of time.

That particular route is actually great and the quality is pretty good if you follow the advice of the guide book and follow the rightward diagonal arete to top. If you try to top out early, you might need crampons :-)

I think that whole section (Isla de Muerta) is relatively good (for Woolamai) in terms of rock quality.

That will only add to the "character" of this particular cam.
