I ended up using silicon spray. Seems o.k. Smells nice too!

I'd be careful of silicon. Some people have a reaction to it. Also make sure you attach a sling or something to the biner. A trip to Emergency could be embarrassing.

WD40 works fine. I just rehabbed a whole lot of old biners that were looking crusty and were sticking a bit. They now look like new. I'll sell them to the next tourist that comes along. Sorry for destroying the ambiance of the humor contained herein.

i have used the metolious cam lube on all my cams seems to work well, it goes on as liquid then drys to a wax.
