lavender sounds like a light touch.
Don't be too scared to have a go at washing your own down equipment.
Just treat them with care, avoid the stomping, and do not wring the garment or bag, just squeeze the water out a number of times and then tumble dry. Check it every 30 mins to break up clumps. The sun can do most of the drying if you live in a low humidity area, then finish off with dryer. Dont hang on the line, lay it out flat or across the lines.
Use the granger's or nixwax down detergent, they are great. Avoid other detergents and soap flakes as they leave residual on the down fillament.
I have been doing my own and mates for years. No drama except when one mate wrung the water to one end of his s'bag and broke all the baffles!! dissapointing.
