I use belay glasses when I belay, they are the same ones which I use to drive with, read with and for general seeing of stuff.

They have the added benefit of making you look like a crazed European bond villain.

post edit - didn't look at above link. You're looking for something different that my answer. But I'll leave this below for those looking for what I am talking about.
Adam,
presuming you want a serious reply . . .
you can get a brand called Sports Specs. They look like normal wrap around polycarbonate lenses that you see cricketers and cyclists wearing. But inside the sunglasses wrap you can clip a little pair of prescription lenses that are only connected at the nose bridge.
Or are you looking for the kind of belay glasses that you use with belay rum?

Belay glasses have prisms that reflect at 90 degrees to stop you getting a crick in your neck:

I think it's a variation on the old mirror on the shoes trick...

some guides in Canada swear by them. IMO they are only useful on vertical crags - anything steep its easier to turn & face outwards & then you can see everything without creaking your neck. I don't think they wouldn't be any good on a slab or a steep cliff...

to avoid a crick in the neck when belaying i prefer to lie down on my back and look up (like how HB does it in that film louise made at Araps in the 80's)
plus if the leader is pfaffing too much with gear you can roll over and snooze to pass the time until the rope goes tight again

Actually, they are really popular amongst the Euro brigade. In Kalymnos (and lots of other places) they get around the steepness part by standing back 5-10 m from the base of the cliff, with the expected results ...

Surely it can't be too hard to make your own.. grab two crappy mirrors - it'd have to be plastic - bend them and then attach to some kmart toy goggles.
They cost about 100 Euros at the moment, and i reckon you'd have to be doing some serious sportclimb-belaying to fork out that much for a slight creak in the neck!

After I broke "something" in my neck and my face went numb for a year I found belaying hard, so I had a mirror I'd put on a small pillow on the ground and watch, if the leader looked iffy I'd look up

Butters you have no immagination. Drop something, get into really tall women, stand under the stairs and it doesn't look like your looking up......
