Yeah....maybe 2 or 3 ever. I don't really like the stuff.

Hmmmm..........you do realise that Gatoraid is just sugar and a touch of salt in water, don't you? Its not actually a magic potion which increases your sportiness.

What sort of 'supplements' are you taking that somehow "replace gatoraide, without the sugar"??

Ha, well I used to mix up 3L of Poweraide or Staminaide to take to the crag almost every trip...

(I used to buy the powdered form from the super market at around $10 a tub, which would make 8L).

Instead I now drink an electrolyte formula (Magnesium, Potassium, Calcium and Sodium.) mixed with water.

http://www.bulknutrients.com.au/electrolytes/electrolyte-blend-250g

Also a pre-workout & recovery formula, from bioflexnutrition (sister company to bulknutrients.)

* Biocharge
* Recovery X

Why do I drink these? I feel it helps my sporting performance & training goals, and again it works out cheaper than the litres of gatoraide I used to chug.

I've come to the conclusion that arniearms is just a sophisticated program with a monthly payment plan that can help to boost your sales of supplements and kneepads.

Just had a quick look.

Biocharge seems like its an upper in diguise. Caffine and dmaa (pissweak substitute for psuedoephedrine). It's banned from competition. I suspect you'd get a better boost to your "performance and training goals" from a short black with a codral dissolved in it.

Recovery X is just a bunch of amino acids.......most climbers source those from food.

I'm actually surprised by how cheap the things are. I still have no interest in taking any of that crap, but I probably spend more money on coffee than you do on your supplements, so 'people in glass houses' and all that.

Man alive, the plot sounds very similar to my misspent youth! Traipsing through the den of iniquity now known as LA with my best mate MoMo the Mormon, both of us dressed in nothing but velour suits with white shirts & ties. Man we had fun slanging coke (the cola kind) and hustling bitches, while working for the pound;)

I was more a Dolemite fan. His lines were literary masterpieces. And rad;
Dolemite: Jimmy, if a snake were to bite me on my leg, what would you do?
Jimmy: I'd suck the poison, Dolemite!
Dolemite: Well, Bo! What if a snake were to bite me on my ass?
Bo: I guess you'd be a dead mofo....

You don't need expensive belay glasses, just do what I do. If I'm belaying a mate on a trad lead I never look up. After he gets at least one good piece in I stand really far away from the wall. That way I don't really need to look up, just across;)

I noted the ;) in your post so I assume the "one good piece" you mention would be able to take a hefty outward (and upward) load in the event of a leader fall? This would seem to be a likely consequence of belaying well back from the climbing surface.

Touche.

Do you also run classes in the appropriate use of "Their", "There", and "They're"?

Oooh, is that sarcasm or humour? Perhaps I do need to attend a class! ;-)

I hope not too! I just hope that if I am bitten on the buttocks by a snake whomever I'm with won't be shy about sucking the poison out;)

And Dan (shortman) nailed it...

I've climbed a bit of slabby fun of late, easy stuff at the You Yangs and have been loving it. So much so, it was a huge shock to get on something vertical when I climbed at Camels Hump... My arms were in shock;)

Yeah, bollocks. There are no exercises/stretches/massages/whatever that will help CTS. You wear braces, get surgery or give up climbing or whatever other overuse thing brought it on. Or loose weight if you have it from being a fat bastard. Are his other claims as big on bullshît?

And the cheap for of gatorade is red cordial with a teaspoon of sugar in it. If you take the sugar out of gatorade, you are loosing most of it's useful stuff. All those other things are either salts or trace minerals you'll get from just eating. Still, those sports drinks come in nice bottles to reuse. And the grape one tastes just like grape hubbabubba.
