So I had a quick look at that post, and I'm really struggling to see how the invite was offensive. Was it the red shirt comment? The bouldering comment? Honestly, without the hidden context, I'd have to say that if there was one post you should've edited, it was the one where you let fly at someone who offered to climb with you when you were posting for a partner. Oh, and all the 'recapping of bets' stuff in the ODH/Clow bet thread, that was annoying as shit.

I can't wait to get back out there and see all those nobs with a knot jammed in their belay device wondering what to do next

That's what the belay knife is for.

Batman up the rope, anchor yourself to the rings, tie off the rope, abseil down, go get another rope.

At least you won't have broken ankles.

The abseiling expert phil the tumor recently in court acknowledged petzal abseiling gear is so shit you should carry a knife to cut the rope!

So far on this thread we have: Dave MacLeod lowered off the end of a rope, which should have been knotted; Cliff D using EDIT; Ambyeok making a Chocky come back; Cliff D and Climbaholic taking over as the new ODH & Davidn and Dave has really small, widely spaced, nipples. That's Dave M, not Davidn... though Davidn might also have small nipples...;)

EDIT: P.S. I just got back from an early morning Camels Hump session! Ergo, I am awesome... Quick, someone give me a virtual high five.

EDIT: fixed the P.S. and EDIT mix up;)

At 5:05 PM. What time do you get up if this is an early morning session?

EDIT :((EDIT : At 5:06:48 pm) Fairly awesome in any case. Is it good or bad style to nest EDITs and does anybody care)

Yeah 'twas a very late, early session. We got there around 7:45ish and suffered through the awesomeness that is climbing on really cold rock. At one point I thought I'd actually snapped a finger off.... 'twas cold;)

So long as you acknowledge an EDIT the placement matters little...

Virtual high five M75.

Only positive post to come out of all the pages of bickering - well done!

Go miguel75.

I got a few laps in tonight too.

I'd just like to announce to the world that I like climbing, and climbing stuff like a happy climbers climber.

I'm not sure what these '*' mean in your post though if you haven't noticed Chocky EDIT etiquette demands a capitalized 'EDIT' preceed any mention of an EDIT, regardless of whether or not you actually edited your post. And it's been decided you may not delete a post, (edited or not)... EVER;)

EDIT; because I can't spell or rite good!

Climbing certainly makes most of us happy Dan and I reckon the inverse is true; lack of climbing makes us grumpy, argumentative and less nice;)

Thanks for the virtual high 5 dalai. Best high five quote ever; 'Every time I high five someone I imagine us frozen in time at the moment of impact with a rainbow and the word 'shazam' over our head. I usually also say it under my breath; which is probably why I don't get many high fives!';)

Holy shit, comablur is mates with Dave McCleod!

Do you reckon you could ask him about his take on the whole situation? By that I mean, does he consider himself to have a large head, or a small body? Is the nipple thing related, or a completely separate issue?

The repetitiveness of it, the commentator tone, um... that's it.

A random check of one of his profiles shows me he often averaged 15 posts per day back in 2005...

I think you're on to something here. The amount I post on Chockstone is inversely proportional to how much I climb.

By extending that logic, there must be some people who are professional chockstone posters and haven't climbed in a decade.

You read that nmonteith and dalai?
~> I think he is saying that bolting, aiding, and bouldering don't count as climbing!
I reckon he is only one third right!* ... What do you reckon?

(*No prizes for guessing that bolting doesn't count! Heh, heh, heh.)

I'm sure some people would be happy to hear that Dave isn't always so cheerful about his accident: http://davemacleod.blogspot.com.au/2012/10/foot-notes-day-17.html
