This paper shows there's a long list of agents that attack nylon
http://www.newmantools.com/pipestoppers/NYLON_chem_resistance_nt.pdf
It shows "strong attack" from "metallic salts" (unspecified); "solvents" (unspecified); H2S (farts); and even a "moderate effect" from lactic acid (sweat) and "partially dissolves" in dilute formic acid (ants) !

The answer could be more basic than that.

There is absolutely minimal lactic acid in sweat. I'd be more worried about coke and vinegar.

And urine... There's a QC with KP about urine and ropes somewhere... [here: http://www.blackdiamondequipment.com/en-us/journal/climb/all/qc-with-kp-from-the-archives-1#ropepee ]

This article claims DEET has no effect, but its solvent may attack rope
http://www.canyoneering.net/forums/showthread.php?670-DEET-doesn-t-weaken-nylon-polyester-or-Spectra
This also mentions "solvents" as having a "strong attack"
http://www.newmantools.com/pipestoppers/NYLON_chem_resistance_nt.pdf
Perhaps solvents in sunscreen might have a similar effect. Hydrocarbon solvents have no effect.
