you can help out though, his condition has been improving steadily and we will be trying to bring him home, however this is not a cheap exercise so every bit counts!

For those that aren't following on facebook, there are some positive updates on there at the moment:
Oct 01:
Hi there everyone,
More good news to report to you all. Toby has been able to breathe on his own, unassisted by machines for a couple of days now. He has, on occasions given his mum and Nandalie a smile and is sometimes able to give a nod in response. This is such amazing progress; we are all so so happy that he is showing such positive signs. He has a long way to go and we are still waiting for some solid confirmation from doctors but I think we are all allowed to do a little jig of excitement/happiness for these latest triumphs don’t you!?! Yours truly, Melanie

Never one to take things slowly, Lucky Chance has said 'hello'...... to the nurse! I'm sure he'll give nando and Mum a big hello very soon, I know you both got kisses, hope the nurse didnt too!?! Maybe the trick is to speak French guys????? hehe, good to hear even more good news, go Tobius! luv Melanie x
Oct 11:
Hi Everyone, Lucky is still doing well. He does seem to be having some trouble with his left foot (this one had the open fracture), please send good vibes over to France to scare of a possible infection for him. We have been advised they might have found a room for him in another ward. This is great news as the ICU room has no windows etc. and a step out of ICU is a step in the right direction. I hope the new room has a window for him as he managed to the tell the nurse his 'bored'. I bet he is! - Melanie

Hi There everyone, the op on Tobes foot went better than planned yesturday and he is back in his room doing well. Hopefully that coupled with antibiotics will kick this infection and we are yet another step closer to getting him home. We are currently getting things organised in Australia for his immenent return home and will keep you posted as we progress. Still on track for that Birthday of his! Melanie x

Sounds like Lucky is making a remarkable recovery. Who went to the Melbourne fundraiser and how was it? Looks like it would have been a fun event.
