Yes, agreed. Whereas, in the case of Andrew Macauley, on Sunday night the ABC TV News in its report about his disappearance (even though the search for him was still ongoing and inconclusive) replayed earlier footage of a Tasmanian police officer declaiming how they had advised him not to attempt the trip and, ipso facto, inferring Andrew was foolhardy to ignore their advice.

Further, I'm told (but did not hear it myself) that on Monday morning on ABC Radio, Virginia Tripoli (spelling?) made a typical 'Radio Shock Jock' attack on the idea of anyone attempting such an undertaking.

They seem to have difficulty understanding we are not the same as them -- thank goodness we aren't!

(Apologies to Big Mike, who IS one of us)

RIP Shaggy and condolences to all those close to him (esp Megan, Corey, Alex and his family).

I was really jealous when he told me about plans for his tele adventure.

I really miss you Shaggs. I'll never forget your giddy, silly laugh and your crooked smile...

Hi everyone...

I only met Shaggy recently at some Melbourne Bike Messenger/Courier and Critical Mass rides late last year.

Tomorrows Critical Mass ride is going to be dedicated to Shaggy. We will meet at the State Library at 5:30pm and ride at 6pm.

peace out.
