Access to this video has changed!! Now you can now watch the 3 minute trailer for free... or pay $12.39 to watch the full 30 minute version.

watching the trailer was not free. i definitely felt a small to medium size piece of my soul implode at about the 2:50 mark. a piece that may or may not be important, but that i will absolutely never get back. this was my yearly re-confirmation that boulderers are not climbers. so, a sliver of a silver lining.

I watched the full 30 mins when it first came out. I came out feeling like I had binge-watched an entire Netflix series in a week. At the time I couldn't stop watching because it seemed enthralling and I genuinely couldn't think of anything better to do, but having finished couldn't think of a single memorable moment.
I will save people the $12 with the highlights package which reads like pretty much every sponsor-created bouldering fluff-piece:
MASSIVE SPOILER ALERT - DO NOT READ ANY FURTHER IF YOU WANT TO MAINTAIN THE PSYCHE!!!!!!!!!
Super strong guy struggles on three move problem in the middle of nowhere for years.
Then he gets the conditions he wants, strings together three hard moves and is happy.

I'd rather watch an entire season of Glee.....

I enjoyed watching the full film when it was available free to watch.

Guys there are people who haven't seen the whole thing. Don't wreck it for them by giving away the ending.

Fair call - I edited the post to provide fair warning of impending devastation.

Because you never can tell how these bouldering videos are going to end up, that's what makes them, and boulderers, so awesome.

I thought it was easy V17 when I visualised my ascent after watching the sequence shown repeatedly...

I doubt it is a real v17 as I think a movie about a real v17 would go for at least 45 minutes.
