Neil has a point about the American crags - there tended to be extensive excrement management plans in place at popular crags (ie the valley, the creek, bits of the red) but I don't remember any for the crags I visited in Europe.

Probably because I always check out the full length of a crag (and beyond). My version of resting between routes is going for an exploration walk. Something to do with being a nosey new router I guess. Sadly it means I find others little hidey holes!

Many of the crags I have visited over the years in Europe had plenty of human waste scattered liberally around. One notable exception was at Chateauvert in France where they had installed some toilets at the roadside. This crag was very clean. The worst I have seen is at Kalymnos. That place needs a few loos placed in strategic locations. Verdon was generally pretty clean, as most people just crap their pants at the top of the cliff.

Now that we've firmly established that this thread is about poo at cliffs - on my last visit to the Dam Cliffs in the BM, there was a small cave / overhang right in the middle of the gorge near the river that was absolutely chockers with "white flowers". Must have been those pesky Euros again...

I perceive an alignment problem there, unless it was a forceful 45 degree ejection, in which case wouldn't the product be more flattened?

I thought there was a calibre issue.
