Climbing films... I have teamed up with Peter Crane of Bon Productions & we will be producing a truly sick australian climbing film to be released about this time next year. Teaser footage will be forthcoming very shortly. Let's get excited. If you want to be involved or you have some killer idea that absolutely must be somehow squeezed in, get in touch.
Press release will also be forthcoming with info on how you industry folk out there can get on board to support this project.
I only have an original copy of Stone Monkey on video that had no extras on it so I can't be sure, but this was shot by the Hot Aches team so I suspect it's not on the newest Stone Monkey DVD.
Interesting, just had a looks and I have a different Indian Face doco from Stone Monkey. I've also seen this one though... Not sure where, might just've seen it in their blog.
This video is Lee Cujes on My Way or the Railway (8a) - Butterfly Valley, Cat ba Island! It is such an amazing line! I came so super close to getting the 2nd ascent in Jan this year but fell a move from the 'thankgod' jug...twice...Man! It really is just such a great climb!
I was down in Tassie this Jan and I ran into some guys slack-lining on the Totem Pole. There were a couple of German dudes, some Aussies and a few other assorted nationalities. They had been camping out at the tote for a week and making a climbing film. I helped them carry their tent back to camp. When we got back they showed me the footage over a couple of beers around the campfire. There were some really sweet shots from a helmet cam which showed you exactly what the climber was thinking and feeling. There were also some professional zooming/panning out shots taken from the opposite cliff. I wrote down the web address where they were going to put it up, but I lost it.
Can anyone point me in the direction of this movie?
