The Mythbusters debunking of it was pretty good too: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ag3-JN4Bvh0.

Jeb Corliss's is better. Especially the shot at the end from the guy standing at the top of the gully with no music, just the sound of the Jeb whipping past... (and yes, I know it's been posted before).

Doesn't do it for me the same way the earlier one does. Perhaps it's the lack of "chaser" footage or something.

There is a scary hubris to the more recent video. Risking one's own neck in the pursuit of your fix is one thing. Watching the flybys of the spectators on the viewing platform and the hairpin turn, I couldn't help but think of the dude who flew through the bridge. An untoward bit of turbulence flying that close to the ground and you might very well die. I love that in Europe they are happy to let people B.A.S.E jump. They are happy to let people make choices about risky behaviors themselves.

That does but the onus of responsibility on the jumper. How long before a wingsuit flyer clips a tourist in the head? Somebody should be asking that question. You are willing to risk your own life. Are you willing to risk somebody else's?

I recon this is all kinds of awesome. A piece of late 80's gold.

One of those documentrys they made you watch in primary school, but this one has Catherine Destivelle going all 'tomb raider' in Africa. World class climber solos a big cliff, while a Witchdoctor plays his trumpet.

Bravo!!! At 8b that's what Aussie grade 31? Phenomenal. Let's all pass around the hat and pitch in to send Malcolm over there to confirm the grade.

The Yellow rubber on his shoes. Takes seriously the leave no trace ethic... well with the exception of the tick marks.

I'm sure he brushes those off afterwards. Might've been the continuity guy on the video team making sure all the gear was in the same places for the different ascents?

Two blind climbers climb a route in the Dolomites, feeling their way up. Absolutely amazing.

Also, here one of the climbers Erik Weihenmayer he is using an experimental vision device that connects a video camera to a pad on his tongue. Skip to 2:20 to see him using it to climb in the gym.
