It's official - The Off-Width Extravaganza is on!
Saturday 18th April
I've just added the trip to the VCC Calendar and Events and it has appeared on the front page of Chocky in 'Upcoming Events'.

No excuses now - please help Mike with his fetish.
Michael
(Thanks to Mike for running the trip)

Ok team awesome, let's plan on meeting at the main ranger office, inside the main gate on the LHS, at 0900. Don't forget helmets, tape, long sleeves and pants;)

And don't forget your desire to suffer;)

For those of you new to the NW Outcrops, here are the direction and a brief description of issues to be mindful of. Thanks to Harold for the details below;

https://picasaweb.google.com/112943931989968643418/Nw#6137802936075125858

Follow the main bike circuit track unit you get to the end of the adjacent paddock and the fence corner. Cross the gap next the corner post and head straight across the bush to the scraped vehicle track. Follow this down the hill until it turns left. At this bend head right (you might see a piece of pink tape) for 10m to an obvious foot track, up the hill, past the right side of WD40 block, then left along the top of the hill to the top of North Western. Walk down the gully at the far side.
There is also the original track directly to the bottom of the crag but it takes a little longer.

Also keep in mind that it is private property owned by Kalari which operates the quarry over the north side of the hill, so a good idea to keep things low key where possible. And as for the farmland below, best not to take short cuts across their paddock, they seem to have film sets around there from time to time.

Hmmm, it does indeed. To sum up the way in, go up the hill a little way, down a long(ish) way, cross a fence and then walk some more. Go past the big rock and then towards more big rocks.

We'll see if we can get the map up properly.

Thanks Harold.

Also for those uninitiated, bring tape... 3.8cm wide strapping tape from a chemist works. I'm not sure I have enough for everyone:(

Mikey,

But your tape is the best tape. (No, seriously it is, I visited Mike before going to Chamonix to make sure I was well stocked).

I won't make it, however I would like to remind you there is a wide crack at the top of the northwall waiting for you to bleed your way up it.

Love,

phillipivan.

ps. my dog farted.

Thanks PI, I'm excited to get back to Buffalo and bleed/suffer even more. My tape stash certainly is popular though is unfortunately running out: We've changed brands and the physio only has the dumb tape left!

Say hello to Kintaro and you other little one for me.

I've been meaning to try your idea for a little while Tim. I'm at the shops now and will grab a set of gloves to try them out tomorrow. I'll report back my thoughts of tape gloves v gardening gloves...

With the wet weather predicted, you won't need to worry about friction burns while greasing out of-

Booroomba slabs are off my agenda in the same way...
