Di and I have been on the road for a month and a half now. We have bumbled our way along through B.C., Washington, Idaho and are heading up into Alberta and back into B.C. before we leave for home in mid September. We're currently at City of Rocks in Idaho, a place we really love. We've been keeping a bit of a blog for family and friends, so it's not just all climbing. In case anyone might like to read a bit about the trip and see some pictures, here's the link: http://bearbeaverbuffalo.blogspot.ca/
Cheers

I can highly recommend persisting with Elephants Perch.
It's a great adventure catching the boat in across the lake, a lovely hike and brilliant climbing. If you can step it up from Mountaineers Route to something like Astro Elephant you won't regret it.
City of Rocks was lots of fun too.
