I'd be dead keen to learn what you know...I'm in Richmond have access to mac's & pc's (prefer the
mac though)...and also reckon I'd be able to do a pretty good job on the pre 98 routes at moonarie as a
first piece of homework from the master...send me a pm or an email if you want to hook up

is there useable free software that you make the topos in? i have struggled with proper photo topos as ive never had access to anything decent.

don't need paint to mark out the routes...thats what chalk is for :)

haha join the dots eh?! cant really claim the onsight if everything is marked for you, then why bother with route descriptions/topos? its all beta! lol ;-)

The best program for making photo topos is Adobe Illustrator, with a little help from Adobe Photoshop and PDF maker. There are other programs around which can do similar things. You might even be able to find yourself a Linux version if you look hard enough.

I can provide training for the basics if anyone is interested.

The more people who are skilled up in making topos (and have the time to do it) I think would be great for the whole community. It would be great if some other people could help out with getting the ACA on-line (free) guide website a bit more sorted out, as there are some big holes (as well as some great fully up to date guides).
