I've now been home two days, and have started to contemplate the mammoth task of assembling all the photos and footage I have collected into some kind of presentable order. I expect this to take a good few weeks, but will get it to you as soon as I can.

Signing off for the moment. Cheers to all - and thankyou all for your kind notes while I was away!

To give you an idea how cold it is in Slovenia, I got this email only two days after my departure (from Slovenia):

Hi!
Snow is crazy! I can't go anywhere by car, because they haven't clean our street yet...

the hands stay on the wall, but the elbows gradually peel upwards, into the same shape as chicken wings :-)

Mybe next time I get massiveley spanked by trying to do something that is way out of my league i will write in too.

Thanks John for your second informative post today. I am glad you are as enthused and optimistic about
climbing as the rest of us. It people like you who really proejct a positive image to people who want to get
out and gives things a go. Have you ever thought about coaching a junior climbing team?... i think you
would do a great job.

Have a great Xmas John!

Looks like you did both in the one post by attempting to be funny.

Good riddance.

ooo Neil, what a good idea, I like Junior girls.

Never doubt my enthusiasm for climbing, this is about my lack of enthusiasm for self indulgent, self serving people, who have never been particularly nice outside their own little bubble of friends, parroting on about something for the sake of telling people how great they think they are.

To Boared & Johns Mate.

If you have such an issue with the topic or any other for that matter.

Options are:

1. don't read it
2. if you have an issue with the person you can select the 'Thumb Down' image next to their Full Name in the users details so that you can ignore their posts.

If people posted all their disapprovals to topics or posts the forum would no doubt be overrun!

I never look at Hex's column of crap because that it what is generally in there.
HEX can post away as much as he likes and it doesnt bother me!

To ignore would be to pretend that I condone this kind of rubbish, I prefer to comment in the faint hope that it will extinguish some of the blatant egotism being tossed around

Hey johns mate

Speaking of "blatant egotism". Only a person with a high opinion of themselves would put themselves in a position where they think anyone else cares what they do or don't "condone"

Hi John,

Many people enjoyed reading this trip report. They were inspired and interested in the hard work that
Jacqui put into taking the huge step in participating in a World Cup. You can see their positive
feedback about this trip report by scrolling through the many pages of this topic. To a jaded burnt out
climber her stories might have been gratting and annoying. To most of us they were a great read and a
good way for her friends to keep in touch with her whilst overseas. Even her sister and mum was
getting into the action!

Your intial post this morning (deleted - but kept for future reference) was extremely nasty. It had
personal attacks on Jacqui as a person - not just a climber. This sort of crap won't be tolorated by
people hiding under aliases on this forum. If you have an opinion - don't hide behind a fake name. That
is just plain chickenshit behavior.

I loved how this post started on a high horse and then fell to "chickenshit behaviour", truly hilarious.

Kept for future reference huh? Gonna read it back evertime you need a laugh right?

and to the previous comment on caring whether people are interestsed about what I may or may not condone, I think it's blatantly obvious that I care little about any of you 'people'.

you need to spend a little more time away from the farm!

Hmmmmm, seems like John is in need of a good holiday away from this website.

Get a clue John, no one is interested in what you think. So what if the trip report is about indoor climbing at a competition. It was how well it was written and all of the background that had me rivetted.

I`m calling troll on this one. I give it a T3 rating on the open ended trollometer. I wish I could use the rc.com troll smiley, that thing rools. The drama queen smiley would work equally as well.

I am the first to advocate that a person with a contrarian view should be welcome to post their views however the manner you came in here guns blazing leaves me with the distinct impression that you are a jilted boyfriend of the said climbingjac. Good riddance to bad rubbish. Take it elsewhere eh.

Uhhh... I have to agree with John, his mate and Boared. If we all wrote about the trips we did, or comps we failed in, in a blow by blow fashion this forum would be the worst in climbing froum history. How is telling us about what they ate, how they decided what to order, then how they ordered it before getting spanked in a comp entertaining? Egos this big surely do not need feeding especially when you have a reputation such as the person in question.......
