[Moderator edit 30/11/16: Since the Trip Reports for this event are now being added to this thread (they start on page 2), I have moved it from Find climbers section, to Trip Reports section, of Chockstone.]

This is a test posting in the new (actually old, but seemingly un-used, till now?) format, to see what happens(!); as no-one has tested it out prior till now and presumably those listed within it can amend their status, plus others can add themselves due to it being a public event.

Most attendees will arrive Friday night 25 Nov, and some may stay on into the next week...

Apologies in advance if the duplicate posting causes issues, but I promise to keep 'both threads' up to date...

Geez I feel a little sad seeing "rejected" next to my name... :(

Great to see my name on the list as a tentative inclusion, but I am afraid I can't make it as I will be competing in the Alpine Challenge that weekend. Absolutely spewing I won't be there, because I love getting my my aid gig on.

I also see that Eduardo and Gnaguts have been invited. Obviously they will want appearance money, especially if they entertain you all with their nude balloon dance halfway up the North Wall. Their routine is something very special... imagine a Triple X rated Cirque du Soleil performance all done off hooks on the crux pitch of Clouded Queen. It is sexual gymnastics at its best, with a high degree of physical danger. Not to be missed.

Just changed my status back 2 reject an simes 2 takin my place.
Simes. Ur gonna love eds improvisa-shun.

Like I said, I can't make it due to other commitments. Plus I don't think I share the chemistry that you and Eduardo have.

If I was able to attend I would have soloed Ozy and then performed my own Puppetry of the Penis show on Big Grassy.

Sorry M75, that's the only terminology option given, though I agree with you and think 'declined' (by the person invited) sounds better...

Hmm.
The new format trip sharing thingy is shaping up as corruptible, so I will put the names of confirmed attendees in my second post referring to campsite arrangements...

Thread updated with attendees.

I will book our usual campsite (assuming it is available) next week, and post here what site becomes secured..
... & On that topic, TimP, will you be staying at your preferred campsite?

Haven't booked yet or decided if the family are coming, Dave, Owen and I are aiming for Ozy, but will wait to see if we go for Friday or Saturday arrival. The plan is to arrive late in the day, sleep in the hut, then alpine start down the south side track.

Thanks for the feedback TimP.

Ok, this is why I have booked (and paid for) SITE 56, for period Fri 25 Nov (1 pm) to Monday 28 Nov (noon), with the relevant Permit Number being 5707140, as those are the dates/times I will be there*.

Site inclusion covers up to 6 people and one vehicle, with additional vehicles costing $9.70 per vehicle, per site, per night, though the Rangers have been pretty good (flexible) with our group in the past ... and hopefully will be again.
We normally split costs depending on how many attend and how long they stay...

If any want to extend the booking into the following week then that shouldn't be a problem as mid-week bookings are normally much easier to obtain...

NOTE: Site 56 is not our 'usual' site as the usual site (and others close to it) were already pre-booked; however Site 56 still has a table, tap, and fireplace (byo wood), along with a great view, ... so was definitely the best of the remaining sites for our purposes and still relatively close to the amenities block.

It is located to the left as you enter the Catani area, ie closer to the lake, see Site map.

General information about Lake Catani camping for those who may not be familiar with it.

(* Look for a silver-grey coloured VW campervan).

Hey Guys, You may be able to find a big blue (dmm #4 torque nut) hex on Führer ledge below Defender of the faith, that was dropped from about 100m up Defender yesterday, bounced off a rock on Führer and landed in the bracken. Booty it or return it but either way I'd be interested to know if it got dented up or cracked!? Have a great Aidfest!

Hey Andrew, PM'd you back.

Also, I know it's a bit late notice, but does anyone in the group have a spare pair of ascenders (and maybe a spare daisy) I could borrow for the weekend?
I've just realised mine are with my work kit, which is still in Sydney.

A long sling or prusik loop can be utilised as a makeshift daisy, though I may have one spare depending on what others bring/don't bring ...
Re ascenders; unless you are actually getting onto the north wall, then you are unlikely to need them. If you just want to practice hauling or jugging on short stuff, then I will be taking a set that you can use...

Post edit: Just repeating; this is an open trip, so if anyone feels inclined to just turn up, then they are welcome.
