3rd time this has happened to me on this forum. I give up.
good climb route 66 on rolling stone wall, dusty gets jims mowing award for cleaning every placement and a hats off for his 1st cam hooks and got 4 in a row.
life's too short to spend 30min typing then lose it.

How did you access the cliff? From memory access is difficult...

After losing a few long posts on various forums in years gone by, I *never* submit anything longer than a few sentences without doing a "select all" and "copy" first. On Chockstone you'll probably need to paste into Notepad or the like so you can edit the text to get past the checks and filters.

Using the back button in the browser didn't refill the form?

I had the same problem with my last trip report. I ended up writing it in a separate doc then posting it section by section (by section by section...), using the 'edit post' function to add each extra piece so that I could identify and delete the 'suspicious' text as I went along.
Given that the more you write, the greater the chances are of encountering suspicious text, I suspect it's one of the main reasons there are less and less trip reports going up on chocky these days. Which is a real bugger - I'm sure I'm not alone in saying that trip reports are the main reason I visit this site.

I reckon we get a mod to put a disclaimer somewhere suggesting doing it this way?
This worked for me recently too...
[Moderator edit: I made this thread a 'sticky' so that it stays at top of Trip Reports Section; to hopefully help others by the advice it contains being more available.]

thanks for the info guys but I'll put that into the too hard basket unfortunately. I have no idea what's involved in moderating a forum and I'm sure there are good reasons for it being the way it is but I need technology to be simple and double handling docs and the photo size and insert process is painful to say the least.
I too enjoy TR's and have gleaned some great info from them but I'm putting my hand up as lazy on this one. I will post up that I did something and where and I'm happy to answer any questions or provide pics via email etc.
Cheers
