Anyone done The Golden handshake at Green Gap Pinnacle?
How steep?
How sustained?
How sunny?
Thanks

also, any tips on how to find the cliff? has anyone been there in the last 10 years.
I tried to find it not long ago, headed up the described old jeep track for a hundred metres which ended in thick prickly bush, and had no idea which way to go. I had wrongly assumed that a 180m cliff would be fairly obvious. Probably need a compass and good map, maybye a machette for the prickly scrub. Also the track there is fairly harsh on a 2wd car unless it has good clearance. The climbs there sound good though looks like solid scrub bashing.

It took us 3 hours to find our way to the base of the cliff. Going back was about an hour or so, so I guess once you know where you are going its a lot easier. There is a good bivvy site at the base of the cliff, next time I reckon I'll carry in a sleeping bag and stay a night.

didn't get off the ground, just looking around
located the start of golden handshake, very obvious, guessing the first pitch is the graded pitch, the rest easier
located caveat emptor, big ugly gully, but probably in drier conditions would be a great adventure
not sure where sweet sixteen started, but since we found the other two climbs easily it wouldn't be that hard to start between them and eventually find the line. from all accounts a ripper route
will definitely head back.. saving it up for the summer months when days are longer. oh and there is miles of rock in the area, all a bit of a mess though, such is life in the backwaters of the grampians!

For anyone interested in Green Gap Pinnacle,
Took this photo from Solar Ridge. Approach to pinnacle is from the right, on the pinnacle side of the valley.
Green Gap Pinnacle Arete is obvious and the other routes are to the left.
Maybe James could rename this topic Green Gap Pinnacle for easier searching
