Hi

Planning a trip to Weirs Creek in the near future and checked it on crag.com - they say the bolts are loose on "Widow of Opportunity" (17).

This seems like a must- do at this crag, but is it safe to climb? Don't fancy bolts falling out in the event of a fall!

Anyone know what's going on there?

The bolts won't fall out. Bring a spanner and tighten them up when ypu lower-off

I tightened up most bolts there about 6 months ago and all but one tightened up fine. Just bring a shifter.

Someone else may be able to provide better info, but 4 days ago red rocks road at the junction with Billywing ( ie close to Buandik) was closed with 2 big signs, so you could not access the Emu foot track from the south.

Red Rock Road is listed as closed on both the Grampians Park Update: http://parkweb.vic.gov.au/__data/assets/pdf_file/0003/621246/Grampians-National-Park-Update.pdf

And the roads report http://parkweb.vic.gov.au/__data/assets/pdf_file/0006/679605/Grampians_Road_Report.pdf

From memory Emu Foot Track was supposed to be permanently gated (eg closed) too so alternate access from Matthew Track was being used.

The roads report says Yanganaginj Njawi Track (this is the Emu's Foot Track) is Operational ‐ open all year but is now Closed.

Hopefully that means that the track will reopen once the wet weather damage is fixed to it or surrounding roads and isn't permanently closed.
