I went out for a look there yesterday and will head back up tomorow for a play. The main slab looks great, but my main interest is in the project there.

The arete that is passed on the way down to the main slabs has a fixed hanger and no details. Who bolted this, what grade might it be if it is still open?

Thanks...

If the bolt looks anything like it did 15+ years ago, I would replace it first. It's been a project for over that long also - I'd say it would be open by now. Good looking line!

Also check out the possibility of freeing the aid section of Weenie Meenie. Given 5 years of drought it should be dry?

Couple of possible lines out there I recall if you are interesting in the area. I went once to have a look and never bothered to return...

The area looks great Martin...not a crag like Ben C where I would return a lot though...

That aid line looks doable but the bolts are very bad....the fixed hanger on the arete 'looks' newish. I spotted another line that wasn't written up too....

Pics for those who are interested in a few moments....

Looks better than I remember it... I definitely thought there was room for more routes.

Do you also have a photo of the arete?

Alright....climbed Ralf The Snail...I gave it a little clean and it is now doable, but I lobbed off the start once or twice smearing on pure moss.....once rocked over it was sweet....gee, that runout at the top is fun...dont do it if your having a bad day, cos 20 metre falls onto slabs will hurt....
