Hi guys, my wife has organized a weeks escape to Cairns. She tells me I'm not allowed to climb but I might take and extra bag, he he. Is there anything to climb in the Cairns area and if so is it worth defying the boss?

Here is a thread start, that is worth perusal...
(It is worth clicking on the view messages icon within that link, to find the last post...)
Did you know that Chocky has a Search function?
☺

Except all the Qurank links are broken, which are the only ones with info.

They changed their directory structure and didn't put friendly redirects in.
Remove /climbing/ from the URL and you're good to go.
eg. http://www.qurank.com/guides/cairns/cairns.html
I determined this using google: http://www.google.com.au/search?q=site:qurank.com+cairns

Did you know if you add &replies=1 to the end of the URL it links to the thread rather than just the reply? http://www.chockstone.org/Forum/Forum.asp?Action=DisplayTopic&ForumID=15&MessageID=26846&Replies=1

No - sort of!
I have experimented in the past, & came to the conclusion that trick specifies 1st page, but doesn't take you to say page 3 (if desired), within say, a 5 page thread.
I am self taught re these things & so don't know much!
Thanks for the tip. I shall experiment further.
Re the busted links. I figured helping original post on a path to success was enough, & didn't know qurank had reconfigured.
Post edit.
The example you use above goes to forum main page(?) ... not 1st page of the Qld thread, if that was what you intended??

You tricked me, but that is not hard, as I am doing that to myself already by simply trying to reply on a phone with it's crappy little keyboard.

You could also just go to the Qurank site and directly click on the guide links. Also, searching the Qurank site would be good, as this topic has come up a couple of times.
