After a great trip to Freycinet last Christmas, we've booked the ferry for another couple of weeks in Tassie this festive season. The plan is to do a mixture of climbing and bushwalking, and I was hoping the denizens of Chockstone would have some wise words of advice for us.
In particular, I'd be keen to hear about peoples' experiences with campsite availability.
Is it feasible to stay flexible over Christmas, or is it necessary to book sites in advance? Narawntapu, Walls of Jerusalem, Mt Field and somewhere near Launceston are places we already have in mind.
Also, has anyone climbed at Rocky Cape? It looks good on thesarvo, so I'm thinking it might be worth spending a day or two up there, but it's not somewhere that's come up on previous threads.
