Be warned there is an active bee hive about 3m from the top of Subpoena at Black Ian's Rocks. They were flying in and out of the crack yesterday morning. No easy way around it so probably best to avoid it for now.

Boo that was on my tick list for the trip there in three weeks.

Thanks for the warning Steve.

Thanks for the beta.
Don't be fooled, depending on your tolerance to bee venom, 20 to 30 sting can be fatal. A healthy hive has up to 30,000 bees. When a swarm attacks in mass, it is overwhelming, even when suited up with beekeepers protective clothing.
I will be their on the 24th and 25th of Nov. I will have a go at an eviction and keep you posted.

They are back. Just over the lip, but lower in the left hand crack from where they used to be.

Bees are no joke. A kid in school disturbed a hive, kids were dropping left right and centre. You'd be surprised how many people are allergic and don't know it yet.

They almost killed Noddy (Keith Lookwood) on Tiger Wall. If you ever meet him, just ask, he's a great storyteller and always up for a good yarn.

Or worse, they *think* they know they aren't allergic!

As a kid, I was stung four times with nothing worse happening than the sting itself. The fifth sting caused an allergic reaction, and the doctor said this was not uncommon!

Just had an excavator drop a 25 m dead white ant ridden sugar gum , apart from the bats and starlings nests there are 2 bee hives which are now extremely angry and I have to get rid of them by Monday or Tuesday so the fencer can put in the fence , Flea bombs , and cans of mortein generously sprayed at night and very early in the morning , hopefully no bites but as yet to be allergic There are at least 4 other hives within 800 m of this one so shouldn't decimate the pollenators too much !!

Get pyrethrim (sp) powder. Wipes the hive out quick. They dont all die but piss off fast. Remove hive. Done. Non toxic.

Don't think restrictions are off yet , can get a permit to burn grass . Also living in the dark ages we have wood fire for winter heating ( as well as reverse cycle ac ) and there is enough wood for at least one house for winter or to be more commercial about it at least $1000 worth of wood if I were to sell it . Not much bee activity now after 3 flea bombs last night and a can of spray earlier this morning
